I am a multimedia journalist and visual storyteller dedicated to producing compelling documentary photography and video work. Using the power of storytelling to give a voice to the voiceless.

I was born and raised in Minnesota, but my journalism journey began at the State Press, the student publication at Arizona State, which led to a photo internship at the Arizona Republic. This was followed by a News21 fellowship where we traveled across the United States to produce documentary work on the state of marijuana in our country. From there I began a video internship at the Cedar Rapids Gazette in Iowa and spent three years navigating and exploring ways to utilize video in a daily newsroom environment at both the Tulsa World and the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. I currently work on both short and long term multimedia projects as the sole videographer and photographer for the Global Religion Team at the Associated Press.
